Quality ingredients:
Yogurt – Get organic grass fed yogurt. The label will say organic but not necessarily “grass fed.” Ask a grocer or call the farm that makes the yogurt and find out. For Vermont, Butter works yogurt reins supreme. 7-stars yogurt can be found nationally and is a great choice.
Honey – Find local, raw, and gooey honey. You should not be able to see through the honey and the gooier its texture is the better. On the label it should say “raw or unpasteurized,” good, grab this.
Peanut butter – Check the ingredients they should say “peanuts, or roasted peanuts.” If they have any of the following ingredients, “sugar, peanuts, corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, soy oil, peanut oil, vegetable oil, salt,” etc. do not buy. You can always find all natural peanut butters with no added ingredients. Lets keep the “peanut” in peanut butter.
Coconut flakes – get unsulphured coconut flakes. These are typically found in bulk or pre-bagged at health food stores.
