Honey for health.

Eat honey for energy, eat honey to battle allergies and eat honey because it tastes good!

What is so great about eating gooey stuff that comes from bees? For starters, how about enzymes, vitamins, minerals and germicidal properties (kills bacteria, fights germs). You can actually use honey to fight off bacteria and build your immune system stronger. Honey is great for energy, fat loss, longevity, dealing with seasonal allergies and digestion of sugars.

Honey has lots of sugars in it which can really freak a lot of us out, however honey also makes sugar healthy. Here is how: Most sugars need to go through a digestive process called inversion which makes sugars more readily used by the body. Honey has already gone through this process. Thanks to those busy bee’s our stomachs will not need to break down honey which is especially great for people who do not produce the enzymes invertase and amylase and depend on monosaccharide’s for the digestion of sugar. So honey high in sugar? Yes and its already digested for us. Not the same as a refined sugar, different breakdown and not beneficial to the human body.

The bee’s produce so much amylase, invertase and catalase during the actual making of honey that these enzymes remain in the food for us to consume and benefit from. Having these extra enzymes in our stomachs make digestion easier and therefore proper assimilation of fats, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals can take place. You burn fat and produce more energy from eating honey!

Eating this wonderful food raw, unpasteurized and unheated will keep all the enzymes, vitamins, minerals and other sensitive nutrients alive and well in the honey. When you choose the honey you wish to buy, make sure you cannot see through it and that the texture is gooier. Minus the gooey texture, most labels will say if the honey is raw or not. One bigger piece of information to look for is that your honey should be local. This will help with your allergies. The pollen gathered by bee’s and turned into honey will be most beneficial for you if that same pollen is in the air you’re breathing.
